ABILITY LEVELS

Ski

 

LEVEL 1 - First timer. Never skied before

LEVEL 2 - Snow plough stop. Can stop in a snow plough on the flats.

LEVEL 3 - Snow plough turn. Making small snow plough turns on the flats and easy, green, groomed trails.

LEVEL 4 - Matching from snow plough to parallel skis through the turn, learning to parallel ski.

LEVEL 5 - Skiing parallel on green, groomed trails. Introduction to powder on easy, groomed trails.

LEVEL 6 - Skiing parallel on red, groomed trails. Introduction to easy, off piste trails and learning to pole plant.

LEVEL 7 - Learning to carve with strong pole plant on red, groomed trails. Learning to ski intermediate, off piste trails. Learning to make stronger turns in the powder snow. Introduction to small moguls.

LEVEL 8 - Strong carving on black, groomed trails. Starting to ski in black, off piste trails. Learning to ski intermediate moguls and powder trails.

LEVEL 9 - Learning to pure carve on black, groomed trails. Learning to ski advanced moguls. Starting to ski double black off piste and powder trails.

LEVEL 10 - Advanced all mountain skier. No trail on or off piste that cannot be skied confidently and aggressively. Comfortable to ski a creative line in the Terrain Park, Racecourse and fall line Mogul Course.

 

 

Snowboard

 

LEVEL 1 - First timer. Never snowboarded before.

LEVEL 2 - Gliding straight and small direction change on the flats.

LEVEL 3 - Side slipping with heel edge. Making falling leaf on flat, easy groomed trails. Starting to learn toe edge sideslipping.

LEVEL 4 - Falling leaf in both directions with heel and toe edge. Starting to turn from toes to heels on easy, green, groomed trails.

LEVEL 5 - Linking turns on easy, green, groomed trails. Introduction to powder on easy, green, groomed trails.

LEVEL 6 - Learning to ride switch. Refined turns on easy, red, groomed trails. Introduction to easy off piste trails. Introduction to short turns.

LEVEL 7 - Learning to carve on red, groomed trails. Introduction to red off piste trails. Introduction to Terrain Park. Learning to ride small moguls.

LEVEL 8 - Strong carving on red, groomed trails. Starting to ride black, groomed trails. Introduction to red off piste powder trails and trees. Intermediate Terrain Park.

LEVEL 9 - Learning to pure carve on red, groomed trails. Learning to carve in switch. Starting to ride black off piste and powder trails. Advanced Terrain Park.

LEVEL 10 - Advanced all mountain snowboarder. No trail on or off piste that cannot be ridden confidently and aggressively. Comfortable to ride a creative line in the Terrain Park, Racecourse and fall line Mogul Course.
